There are some rules you should know before you decide to order your curtains.
Color, pattern and fabric are important, but if you do not choose the right ones, then your curtains can look very ugly.
Measurement
Accurately measure windows and patio doors. Start the count from where the curtain rod starts and not just from the top of the window.
Height and length
In most cases the curtains look very nice and comfortable when they are very close to the floor but do not come in contact with it. Also, long curtains make the room look taller.
Width
The width of the curtain is important for aesthetic and practical reasons. Usually the width of the curtain should be twice the width of the window. Keep in mind that thick fabrics should be slightly wider than twice the width of the window and thin fabrics may be wider than the above rule.
Ironing
Ironing a curtain is a difficult task. But the ironed curtain does not compare to an ironed one. That is why you prefer to give it to a laundromat where they will easily iron it with their professional equipment.
